After more than 10 years as a tattoo artist, I've learned that cosmetic tattooing isn't about finding one perfect technique and applying it to every client.
Every skin is different.
Every face is different.

The key to creating beautiful, long-lasting results is learning how to assess what is in front of you and make the right decisions for that individual client.
That's what I want to teach you.
My private training is built around developing your understanding of skin, colour, pigment and technique, so you can become a more confident and adaptable artist.
THE VALKALI APPROACH
My philosophy has always been centred around creating natural results while respecting the skin.
A beautiful fresh brow isn't necessarily a beautiful healed brow.
Overworking the skin, implanting too much pigment or choosing the wrong colour can create problems that become much more difficult to correct over time.
Instead, I focus on controlled pigment implantation, appropriate saturation and thoughtful colour selection, with the healed result always being the goal.
I want you to learn how to work with the skin, rather than against it.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

SKIN ASSESSMENT
Learn how to assess different skin types and understand how skin characteristics can influence your technique, pigment choice and expected healed result.
COLOUR THEORY
Develop a deeper understanding of undertones, warm and cool colours, pigment behaviour and how colours can change as they heal.
PIGMENT SELECTION
Learn how to make more educated pigment choices rather than relying on a colour chart or choosing a colour simply because it looks right in the bottle.
PIGMENT IMPLANTATION
Understand how depth, pressure, hand speed, machine movement and saturation affect the way pigment is implanted and ultimately heals.
NEEDLE & TECHNIQUE
Learn how and why you may need to change your needle configuration, machine settings and technique depending on the skin and the result you're trying to achieve.
NANO BROWS
Refine your hairstroke technique, pattern, direction and density while learning how to create natural-looking brows that complement the client's existing hair and anatomy.
POWDER BROWS
Understand how to create softness, dimension and controlled saturation rather than simply filling the skin with pigment.
CORRECTIONS
Learn how to assess existing cosmetic tattooing, understand residual colour and make informed decisions about whether work can be corrected, worked over or requires another approach.
